    Hi,

When using the P3 – Plugin Performance Profiler, near enough ever time ive checked ive noticed that Mailchimp Forms by Optin Cat uses near enough 52% runtime thats 1.5 seconds extra, it seems a little steep so and thats based on the fact that itheme security uses less than 9% 0.25 seconds and does far more work and mailchimp forms is just a form? I get it theres is more to it than that but is shouldnt use up 52% surely?
So my question to you is can it be cut down to the same as all the other plugins that use barely the same as this one does?

A solution would be great, please.

    Thanks

    Hi,

We’ve been working hard to make Optin Cat 1.5 much faster than previous versions. I’ve been testing Optin Cat using P3 as well, and I don’t have the same results as you:

That is on my ~$10/mo shared hosting plan from DreamHost. Can I ask what version of Optin Cat you’re seeing those results?

    Hi Ryan,

It’s looking like the speed id like it in that picture! On my one its not quite the same situation,

    see what I mean.

Let me know if there’s something I can do to help.

I’m hosted with TSO Hosting, pro account and good quality people so no prob there.

And it’s the latest version downloaded.

    Thanks

    George,

If I had to guess, it might be there is some conflict with another plugin or possibly the theme. If you turn off all the plugins except optin-cat do you have similar result? What if you go back to a default theme like TwentyFifteen?

    Hi Ryan,

I’ve done all of the above, I turned the plugins off in batches to see what that did and nothing but at one point when I turned a batch of them off it went up to 70% but then did them one by one and and still nothing? Went back to the original theme default theme and still got the same results.

I just cant work it out. But what I did see was the results from before and after I turn Optin Cat on and off and its a little different. Notice the difference on the plugin impact and the plugin load time?

I run the theme Barcelona which is highly rated and simple to run, surely its not the theme as ive tested that. But if I gave you a copy of my database/theme files would that help?

    Let me know

    Thanks

For those of whom it may concern:

This has been resolved and the developer now knows what to do about it.
