Apparent conflict with WooCommerce Blocks
-
We had WooCommerce Blocks installed along with WooCommerce. Lately the Mini-Cart is missing the Mini-Cart footer actions section, as it is replaced with an error message:
“Oops!
“Unexpected error in: woocommerce/mini-cart-footer-block
“Error:?Cannot read properties of undefined (reading ‘some’)”Because of the error, the “View Cart” and “Check Out” buttons do not appear (making it hard to complete a purchase, sadly).
There are two ways I found to stop this error. Either:
- Change themes from Jace to another (I tried Twenty Twenty-Three), or
- Uninstall WooCommerce Blocks.
I contacted support for WooCommerce Blocks and they could not reproduce the problem (though I do not think they tried installing the Jace theme). So either the theme or WooCommerce Blocks has to go. It turns out we don’t actually need WooCommerce Blocks, so I deactivated that on the production site, but as someone else may encounter the same problem, I thought I should let you know. The link I gave above is to the test site, where both Jace and WC Blocks are active and the Mini-Cart is broken.
On the test site, I have tried deactivating every plugin except WooCommerce and WooCommerce Blocks. Same problem. Except for changes made in the FSE, the only other customizations I made were put into a plugin, which I have also deactivated – and then reactivated as it did not affect the problem.
