    Good morning,

I am banging my head against a wall..

I haven’t used WordPress for a few years and I am no expert. I have just created a new site it is self hosted on 1&1 I used there 1 click install (free/full version) and installed BBpress with a Motif theme.

It works well but I want to edit the php of the footer and the width of the page etc. I would normally open up the theme editor under appearance but it is not there?

I have disabled all the plugins and re installed the standard themes again but still no option what am I doing wrong?

I need help with the same issue. I’m new to wordpress. I started a new site, it’s being hosted by pagely. I installed the Made theme and haven’t done anything else. I need to change the copyright info in the footer and other things but there is no theme editor under “appearance”. I’m running 4.1.1.

    Hi WPyogi,

Yes I am logged in as Administrator and Keymaster on BBPress.

The site is not networked and I haven’t installed any security plugins.

I have built another site from the same hosting 1 click install and it is the same so I can only guess they have blacked it from there…

I am just trying to get FTP access so I can install WordPress manualy..

OK so I have installed a new WordPress site in to a new database manually and it is the the same no editor under the appearance menu???

Me same. Haven’t been in the dashboard of this site for a few weeks, so not sure exactly when it went missing. Under ‘appearance’- no ‘editor’
