I am trying to move around the menu on my www.ads-software.com site that was created by a developer. I have a good amount of www.ads-software.com and wordpress.com experience and am puzzled as to why there is no “Appearance” tab to change around the menu or “editor”. Help please?!

    My options are:
    Posts
    Media
    Pages
    Contact

    User
    Settings

    Fusion Slider
    Maintenance

NONE of which have a menu editor option. Thanks in advance!

    1. When I create themes, I disable Appearance->Editor. Your dev may have done the same.

    2. It looks to me like you might not be logged in as a full admin. What do you see as your role when you login and look at your user profile?

The role is “owner”. I’m logged in on one of the store’s owners username and password.

And is there any way to re enable Appearances? Specifically, I need to rearrange my menu as he put it in a horrible order. I can’t do that without appearances to the best of my knowledge. I may not even need editor, just the other things under appearances.

Owner is not Administrator, so you won’t be able to touch plugins and stuff. Set up another account for yourself as an administrator and use it when doing admin related (not store related) tasks.

Admin isn’t an option when I go to “Add user.” I have Subscriber, Owner, Editor, Contributor & Author. It’s weird!

You’ll need to talk to whoever set up your site (and presumably is a full admin).

my wordpress appearance tabe missing how to solve

Hello, I am dealing with the same issue. Someone else created the site, and now the only menu options I have are:

    Posts
    Events
    Photo Galleries
    Media
    Pages Comments
    Profile
    Tools

I don’t even know how to add a user to the account. I don’t see the option to do that. I installed wordpress also, but I haven’t set it up because I don’t want to create a new website entirely, just to access the interface of the already created one

    Thanks in advance!

I have the same issue. i have access to the full admin account users as well, i want to make a second full admin but i dont have the option too, i can make any lower user.

Maybe some of you are having the same problem I had which is pretty easily resolved. If you have installed Boldgrid that is probably the culprit. To get back your appearance tab simply click on Boldgrid under the Settings tab and uncheck the Use Boldgrid Menu System next to Reorder Admin Menu. After you do this you will need to refresh your dashboard and then your Appearance tab should reappear.

    Hope this helps, good luck!
