Append to MailChimp list

    Sorry if I’m missing the obvious, but trying to figure out how to use a MailChimp for WP form to append to our existing MailChimp list data, not just as the original sign up. Would like to create a form on the site where existing subscribers can visit after they sign up (via a link they receive by email) that asks them to answer some questions about interests and preferences. Would then like the answers to the questions to update their MailChimp profile. Of course the questions would already have associated fields on the MailChimp list.

    Hey ninjaray,

    This would not be difficult to accomplish, however it requires the ability for the form to update data of existing users which is feature available in the paid version of the plugin https://mc4wp.com/.

    All you would need to do is update the form to add all the fields you need (i.e. the once you created in your MailChimp.com List). And then set the option of “Update existing subscribers” to “Yes”. Since our paid version supports “Interest Group” fields, you would be able to create a form with all the fields similar to your MailChimp.com List.

    Thank you so much for the quick response, and yes, this answers my query. We are upgrading anyway since we need multiple forms but was interested to know if this could be accomplished. Your help is very much appreciated!
