    Hi @joyryde

You say known bug but that is a link to a different Stripe plug-in. Can you please confirm if you are using the Payment Plugins Stripe plugin or are you using the Stripe plugin that you linked to? That is a very important distinction.

    Kind regards

    It’s a known bug with Apple Pay/Stripe.

We use Payment Plugins for Stripe WooCommerce.

@joyryde is it possible for you to provide a link to your website where this behavior can be re-created? If not there do you have a staging site?

Did this just start recently or has this behavior existed for a while? Have you upgraded any plug-ins recently and then this behavior started?

This has been an issue ever since we enabled Apple Pay in the plugin. We get constant complaints that the buyer never chose UPS 3 DAY Select shipping. Just happened again a few minutes ago.

@joyryde Per my last reply can you share a website link where this behavior can be re-created?

Hi, sorry, I forgot to add the URL in the original post, just updated it for you.

Can you go into more detail on the issue because when I review your checkout page I don’t see a problem.

I used a US address and selected Priority Mail Express $53.22 on the checkout page. When I opened the Apple Pay wallet that was the shipping method that was show as the first entry.

The plugin has code specific to this scenario. Whichever shipping method is selected is always sorted so it’s the first entry in the list of shipping methods.

This appeared to be working exactly as designed.

All I know is that once a day, on average, we get a buyer who emails us after placing an order FLIPPING OUT that we forced them to pay hundreds of dollars in shipping fees that they did not agree to. We then have an email template explains how the plugin forces them to use UPS 3 Day Select, and that we will refund it immediately. Usually they just cancel the order because they are so pissed that we are “attempting to defraud them”.

@joyryde it sounds like perhaps your customers aren’t reviewing their line items in the Apple Pay wallet when it appears.

I highly recommend you go through the buyer experience and confirm for yourself that the plugin is working as intended. Please confirm once you have done that.

We then have an email template explains how the plugin forces them to use UPS 3 Day Select

In my testing of your site the plugin did not force them to use UPS 3 Day Select. The correct shipping method was always rendered in the Apple Pay wallet.

OK…I guess we can just assume it’s user error; except that we have about 10 people who all have UPS 3 Day on their receipts, but no other shipping method…

    thank you.

That’s why I suggested you go through the buyer experience yourself to see if it works as intended. If you see something not right I am more than happy to investigate further.

I can’t really test it for some reason, I have an iPhone and the Apple Pay button is missing from the product page when I try to visit a product page on my site. The settings of the app have it set to show the Apple Pay on every product page. Perhaps a caching issue, but I’m trying to test in incognito mode via Safari and I don’t see either Apple pay or Google Pay buttons.

I do see it working in the cart, and it’s not forcing me to use UPS.

@joyryde I see Apple Pay on your product pages. Per the plug-in documentation make sure you have a valid credit card saved in the Apple wallet of your Apple device. The credit card must be able to transact in the currency of your store.

Yes, I have 5 cards in my Apple Pay wallet on iOS and Apple Watch. I just don’t see any buttons…but they do work within the cart.
