Several Mac and iPhone users have reported, and I’m seeing on my wife’s iMac, that although their settings are set to “Play most recent first”, the most recent one is at the top but then there’s a gap of months or years before older ones are listed. My podcast is 11 years old with 573 weekly episodes and counting. I hope I don’t have to go through all those posts to assign episode and season numbers. Any advice? Thanks.

    Hi rickarcher,

Apple Podcasts needs episode-level tags for season number and episode number to be consistent for all of your episodes. Looks like after episode 540, you stopped using season tags. That’s why your episodes are displaying the way they are within the Apple Podcasts app. You either need to remove the existing season tags for the episodes that have them or you need to add season tags to the episodes that don’t have them. PowerPress has no way to bulk edit those tags.
