I just noticed my podcast is showing “Unknown Season” and “Season 1” on Apple Podcasts. I never specified a season number. I’d like it to organzine by year instead. How do I do this?

In the podcast episode box in the post editor, there is a season box below where the file name shows. Set it there or blank it out. Update the post.

I imagine you could put “2020” in the season and it would come up saying it was from Season 2020. But I don’t think you can have it say “Year”. Something to try anyway ??

OK, I think I have this issue solved. It looks like whenever I publish a new post it automatically adds a “1” to the season number field. It didn’t start doing this until Feb 21, 2020. In all previous episodes, the season number field was kept blank. I had to go in and remove all of the “1s” from the season number field on each post and update it. That seems to have solved it. The question then is, why is a number “1” being automatically entered into that field with each new post. I do not want this behavior.

    Hello @pmcgilvray,

I believe that was a bug in a previous release, it should default to blank now.

    Thanks,
    Angelo
