Apple Splash Screen

Hi there,

The Apple Touch Icons Add-on which you mentioned is only for the using the icons upon SuperPWA, when the user Add the PWA to their Homescreen over iOS devices. Moreover we haven’t mentioned it as for using for Splash screen anywhere, do correct me if I’m wrong.

A new Addon for iOS splash screen will be launched in a couple of weeks. Stay tuned.

The way this reads to me (https://superpwa.com/addons/apple-touch-icons/ + the description of the addon in the plugin):

“This Add-On sets the Application Icon and Splash Screen Icon as Apple Touch Icons.”

implies that a Splash Screen will also be configured (similar to that of the following: https://facebook.github.io/react-native/blog/assets/loading-screen-01.gif – although I imagine not animated?). It might be worth rewording this (is it a Splash Screen for Android only?)?

Not to worry – I already have Apple Touch Icons set up, so I’ll disable this addon for now and will wait for the iOS Splash Screen Addon! ??

This Add-On sets the Application Icon and Splash Screen Icon as Apple Touch Icons.

It mentioned about the the Icons over Application Icon and Splash screen icon used upon SuperPWA’s settings page for Apple Touch Icon. Touch Icon is the icon which you see upon the Homescreen when you add the PWA to your Homescreen.

Apple Splash Screen Add-on is almost getting ready over here. Stay tuned.

Also – sheer curiosity question – are you planning to utilise something like: https://github.com/GoogleChromeLabs/pwacompat for “simplicity” or are you going down the “bespoke” route?
