Application Attachment

  • Ever since the upgrade to WordPress 4.7.1 we have not received one attached resume. It used to work fine. I posted about this yesterday but can’t find my post. There is a warning about attachment type not allowed when trying to upload and cannot find a place to declare that information. I have not changed the form which had been working fine for a couple of years… Is this a bug?

    I’m running 4.7.1 WordPress install with the most up to date version of the Job Manager plugin and can confirm no conflicts with submitted resumes nor resumes with attachments. The issues as you were surmising is with the error about attachment type not allowed. Do you have any functions in your theme that are blocking certain file extensions from upload to the WordPress Media Gallery?

    I have same issue that suddenly when users from outside want to upload attachment when applying for a job they get “Sorry, this file type is not permitted for security reasons.”

    I have searched around in several forums to allow file upload again, but unable to find the reason for this.

    The regular functions.php already have all the different file types listed.

    Have also tried to check my other plugins but not able to identify why this have changed.
