"Applications" Addon Problems & Recommendations
-
I have bought the “Applications” addon it looks fine only with the following problems;
1. The SENDER appears to be “WordPress”
OPTION/RECOMMENDATION: Will be logical for the Email Alerts sender to be my website which provides the service and alerts the Employer. So a sender should be something like “My Job Website”2. The email looks to be from the JOB APPLICANT’s email address.
OPTION/RECOMMENDATION: This one too should be the one set by the admin. I mean the service’s website since #1 above the sender is “My Job Website”#1 & #2 ABOVE:
An email starting with [A candidate (Frank Esquire) has submitted their application for the position “JOB TITLE”.] should be a proof that the email is not from the job applicant but from the service provider.3. “Yahoo DMARC Policy Change” will cause alerts not to be sent to the EMPLOYER when the applicant’s email address is yahoo one. (refer to the links below)
OPTION/RECOMMENDATION: Again using “My Job Website” as the sender makes sense and emails won’t be treated as spams even if they’re not yahoo.4. Clicking the link included in the email, “You can view this and any other applications here: https://www.mywebsite.com/jobs/?action=show_applications&job_id=1234” takes me to the all jobs page (page with shortcode [jobs]) instead of to the a page with other applications.
SOLUTION?: Looks like the link is supposed to be “https://www.mywebsite.com/manage-jobs/?action=show_applications&job_id=1234”
NOTE: I have shortcode [job_dashboard] inside “manage-jobs” page.CONCLUSION:
1. I would like the sender to be “My Job Website” and not “WordPress”.
2. The email address/sender to alert the user should be that of my website’s brand and not applicant’s.https://help.yahoo.com/kb/mail/SLN24016.html?impressions=true
