Applications / German umlauts

  • I am using the simple job board plugin for a client and am having problems with applications.

    The German umlauts are not displayed in incoming applications via the plugin. The texts then look like this, for example:

    Hiermit besttige ich die Einwilligungserklrung gelesen zu haben und erklre mich durch Anklicken des Buttons Besttigen und senden ausdrcklich damit einverstanden.

    instead of:

    Hiermit best?tige ich, die Einwilligungserkl?rung gelesen zu haben, und erkl?re mich durch Anklicken des Buttons ?Best?tigen und senden“ ausdrücklich damit einverstanden.

    Questions:
    Is the deletion of the umlauts due to the plugin or WordPress?
    How can I solve the problem and achieve a correct display of the incoming applications?

    Hi Rolfex,

    Thanks for writing to us.

    The special characters was removed from the input as it may cause the vulnerability, but in our latest update we fixed this and allowed the special characters.

    Kindly confirm you are using the latest update of Simple Job Board.
