Apply Free Shipping on Product with Coupon Only

  • I need to be able to offer free shipping on a particular product only but charge shipping on other items in the cart that the coupon doesn’t apply to. With your plugin, I can automatically add the coupon when that particular item is in the cart but free shipping is applied to the entire cart which is not what I want. Is it possible to achieve this with your plugin? I tried a number of other plugins but none of them could apply free shipping automatically to just one product without applying it to the entire cart. I do have the coupon set as a Product Discount and not a Cart Discount. I’m so close with your plugin. Is it possible to achieve this? Thanks!

    How about applying a discount with the same amount as the shipping cost?

    That technically works, thanks. One thing that may cause some customers confusion is that the normal shipping rates still show in the shipping calculator (but aren’t calculated) if the item with the discount is the only item in the cart. Maybe it’s not a huge deal though.

    Otherwise I’d need some more info about the shipping cost rule you’re talking about.
