    Hello

Yoast already offers the option to customize the Twitter Card for each page separately.

I wonder if there is a way to have only one image and description and title for Twitter Card and apply it to all pages?

    Thanks

  • Hi @hamiddg,

    Thank you for reaching out.

We don’t have such functionality. We are also not 100% sure what the use-case would be here, as every page on your site should have its own purpose and should have its own social share content.

If you’d really want to enforce something like this, you might want to dig into our developer documentation and Twitter spec: https://developer.yoast.com/features/twitter/functional-specification

    Hi Jeroen,

    Thanks for the quick response.

We need this feature mostly for the image. I mean, we want our logo to be applied to all pages (when they are shared), without the need to do it for all pages one by one.

If no twitter image is configured for a specific post or page in the Twitter tab of the Yoast metabox, but there is a Facebook default image configured under SEO → Social → Facebook (tab) → default Image – Twitter should take this og:image as the image for that page. Twitter falls back to Open Graph images/data when no twitter meta tags are present. Does this help?

Actually, we’ve already added an image under “SEO → Social → Facebook (tab)”, but Twitter doesn’t seem to be using that image.
Just so you know, we’ve cleared the cache from Cloudflare. Maybe we should wait a couple of days for Twitter to index that image!

Twitter has a validator to check what it sees for any URL which you can find here: https://cards-dev.twitter.com/validator – maybe that helps to show the correct image?

yeah, we are using this tool. and it’s still showing an old image (I mean not the image we uploaded for Facebook)

Can you please show us some example URLs where the issue occurs so that we can take a look at them? In addition, please share the expected image that you’ve defined in SEO → Social → Facebook (tab) so that we can verify the results.

We look forward to hearing from you.

is there any way I can share this data privately?

We are afraid to say that there’s no option available in the forum that you can use to share data privately with someone as it’s a public forum. However, if you consider purchasing Yoast SEO Premium, you’ll have access to the premium support where you can receive support through private email.
