Apply only to some product categories?

I use this plugin so my users can mark some books as ‘read’, so they can keep track of a large book list. I have the button enabled on woocommerce ‘products’ I want to add some none-books to the list, but not have the ‘favourite’ tag apply to those products – is there any way to have the ‘favourite’ tag only apply some some product categories?
