    Hello,

I have realised that if you Captcha activated on you user login, and you try to select the Rename Login Page option, it will not work….

The first signs of trouble are that you cannot log off correctly when it reports that it cannot find the page, then when you try to login using the new URL it “forgets” that you have Captcha selected and displays the incorrect log in form.

If you use the standard wp-admin page the log in still works………

I managed to get around all of this by deselecting Captcha then selecting Rename login page and then reselecting captcha.

But i assume it was not meant to be like this??

Hi John, can you carry out a test. Disable all your other plugins except this one. Then leave the captcha and Rename Login Page features enabled. Now carry out a test but make sure you have cleared your browser cache and if you had a cache plugin enabled make sure you have also deleted the cache.

Once you have carried out the above if it works then you know you have a plugin conflict. If it doesn’t work can you check the plugin log files?

    Thank you

    Hello,

I carried out the test you requested on another site i have in progress and it uses the same All in one Security plug in but with a limited number of other plugins.

I performed the test you requested using Safari browser as it is easy to clear all history etc, and after several attempts to make sure i had everything sorted and the sequence correct i had the exact same issue as initially described.

I am now going to reinstate my plugins, also let me say that the first site i had this issue on had the Customizr Pro theme and this site has the WP 2016 Theme in use.

let me know if there is anything else i can assist with on this issue

Hi John, in regard to the following.

The first signs of trouble are that you cannot log off correctly when it reports that it cannot find the page, then when you try to login using the new URL it “forgets” that you have Captcha selected and displays the incorrect log in form.

Can you share a screen capture with captcha enabled and one without captcha enable. Make sure you don’t show in your screen capture the login secret word.

    Thank you

Hi, this is very strange indeed. In my testing platform I cannot duplicate your issue. I can enable captcha for the login page and change the login page URL and all works for me.

I am certain this is a browser cache issue. Can you test Google Chrome or Firefox?

    Thank you

    OK,

Moved to a different machine and using chrome, also using another one of my sites

and using the info i supplied previously i had the following

Log into admin via renamed page
    Clear Captcha
    Clear Rename Login page
    Clear browser history
    Log out
See image SS1 this is what happened when i tried to log out.
    SS1

Tried to Select Brute Force menu item
    New Login page dislayed (wp-admin)
    Clear Browser History
Using wp admin page logged into site OK
Select All in one Dashboard OK
Select Brute force menu item OK
    Set new login page
    saved
Tried to log out and had response as in SS2 screen shot
    SS2

Then i get no more errors after this.

    Hi,
    Thanks for the detailed information.
I have investigated this further and found that there is some kind of obscure bug which I have fixed and the solution will be available in the next release.

    Hello,

    Thank you for your response.

I was getting a little concerned that my issue seemed to be unique and/or i was having issues reliably reporting the actual problem i was experiencing.

Thanks Again…look forward to the update.

    John
