Ghost is working perfectly so far! But now I’m trying to build an app with AppMySite, and it can’t connect to my wordpress site. Can I whitelist the AppMySite helper plugin? Or have you seen this issue before and have advice? Thank you.

    I get an appmysite error:

Permalink structure incorrect. Please ensure it is not set to the default ‘Plain’ permalink (?p=123).

And yet, I have permalinks set for postname, not the default. And I’ve resaved them.

    ??Hi there,

    Thank you for reaching out!

Sadly, we didn’t encounter this situation before. Would you mind letting us know if you get any other errors besides the permalink structure? Or anything that could narrow down the cause?

Also, does this error go away if you disable HMWP Ghost plugin?

And one thing you can try is to select Safe Mode to set up the default paths and save the settings. After which, select Late Loading from Advanced > Combability > Plugin Loading Hook.

Note! Make sure to save a copy of your settings from Backup/Restore first.

I disabled HideMyWPGhost and still have the problem. Are there any conflicts with Wordfence? I don’t see any mention of it in your docs, but maybe something is being blocked in my site. What pathways or connections MUST appmysite have access to?

If our plugin is disabled, all the redirects and changes we make are removed, so more than sure it’s coming from somewhere else.

And no, our plugin actually works really well together with Wordfence, and we also encourage our customers to do so.

What I recommend is to disable all plugins one by one until you can find the source of the issue, and reach out to the plugin author.

If we can be of any further assistance don’t hesitate to reach out.

Asking again: how does AppMySite connect to the wordpress site? What ports, services, or routes does it need? That will help me troubleshoot. It continues to say that the plugin is not installed, though it is installed. I can’t even get to the point of inputting the application password.

I’m sorry but that goes outside our support scope, as we offer assistance only for Hide My WP Ghost plugin or other plugins/services provided by Squirrly.

Please reach out to AppMySite support for an accurate response to your questions.
