• Hey. the plugin is working fantastically so far. Just one thing.

With the ‘approve_media’ function I want it to automatically add the approved/uploaded image to a defined custom field (ie: _custom_gallery) for the post (which is a custom post type but this has been accounted for)…

I used ‘advanced custom fields’ to create this custom field.

    Any pointers?
    Thanks

(Also a similar method for when approval is not required would be handy for later use… so for example uploading a photo on the form shortcode for the post will transfer the uploaded photo to the “_custom_gallery”)

Oh hold on, never mind, it seems to work ok if the custom field is defined as part of the ‘advanced custom fields’ for the content page.

    Hi tdoccc,

Would you be willing to share your code to help other users attempting to do the same thing?

    Thanks!

Must apologise I did not actually manage to remedy the situation – it attaches media to the post but not the custom field.

Image is auto-added to a gallery in post content. ie if there’s a gallery in post, image will be added on approval. Otherwise image gets attached to the post. This is done deliberately to not mess with people’s content.

Thanks, Rinat, and thanks for the plugin!

I think the issue at hand here is auto-adding an image to an Advanced Custom Fields gallery field, as opposed to a WordPress gallery.

I was hoping that the OP had figured out how to do this.
