Approving comments for different role or user

  • Hi All,

    generally editor and Admin can approved comments. I want to check following Scenario.

    Is there any possibility that only admin should approved it and not editor?

    Is there any possibility that only certain user can approved it (some of editor?

  • Hi. WordPress has a few built in user roles. These can be modified, but you can’t have one set of capabilities for some editors or and not other. For that, you would need to add new roles. Each user shouldn’t really be assigned more than one role either.

    If you are looking to add new user roles and modify them from the WP dashboard, then I would suggest having look for a plugin. There are plenty out there. I can’t recommend one specifically, but you can have a look at the search results here or have a search yourself.
