• The most important topics are at the top of the sidebar under “Pages”. I just installed bbpress on the server and now I would like a link to the forums. I’d prefer to have this link under “Pages”, but the widget doesn’t support that directly. Is there any way to implement what I’m trying to do? I could hack the code myself, but that’s always a maintenance nightmare when it comes time to upgrade software to new versions.

If I use a link category I end up having to manually managing the list, plus it screws up the order of the sidebar widgets (Pages are at the top, Links are near the bottom).

Perhaps a replacement widget for Pages is available?

I figured out how to trick wordpress into doing what I want. Since I installed bbpress inside of the wordpress directory so that it resolves to https://mydomain.com/forum/, I created a page with the title “forum”, which created a permalink that perfectly matched the forum link, and was ignored in preference to the physical directory.
