    “Archive descriptions are translatable via … WPML”.

    How? If I enter a translation, the original language is overwritten.

    @aljuk I think I probably need to clarify the documentation for this. Thanks for the feedback.

    I think you’re probably trying to enter the translated text into the PTAD settings page after changing the Dashboard/Admin language. This is not supported (hopefully it will be eventually).

    To translate the archive description, you’ll start by entering the archive description in the site’s primary/default language. You’ll then need to use the “String Translation” feature/plugin for either WPML or Polylang. On that settings page, you’ll find the archive description and have the ability to translate it into the other languages.
