Archive dropdown appearance

  • Hi all
    I have built a template that is very flexible for customisation and for tweaking it’s appearance. I call it Base (imaginative ha?) and have made several versions of it. One version is running right now on one of my test sites at https://test.fluxink.com/base/ if anyone wants to take a gander. Another version is already in use on my band site here https://blog.badmathematics.com.
    Now on Firefox and only on Firefox it seems the archive drop down form does a very strange thing… It shows the background colour of the page body, since my textareas are instructed to be transparent. This only happens on Firefox but not on Chrome or Safari. I have screen shots here: https://test.fluxink.com/Screen-shot-drop-forms.jpg

    Now what is my question you may well ask… How do I write a stylesheet to control how these default form dropdowns look?

    Is this even possible?
