Archive: Filter posts from categories, months, authors, …

Hi,

I want to offer a better way of browsing through my archives. With over 2000 posts, it would be better to do something like this:

Enable users to select from multiple categories, months, and authors to get a custom result of posts that matches all criteria.

Example: Display all posts from January, February and March 2011 that were posted in categories Architecture and Landscapes and were posted by Author Jens.

Any idea if a plugin or hack exists?
