Archive list without nesting and text-indent

  • I’m trying to create a archive page but I’m having problems with the lists. I want a non-nested list without a text-indent.

    I want it to look pretty much exactly like this:

    MONTH:
    May
    April
    March
    February
    January

    CATEGORIES:
    Life
    Fun
    Work
    Politics
    Music

    All I want is a couple of <p> and br, no ul or li. That should be easy as a pie, no? Well it obviously isn’t because whatever I do the category list still is nested with a huge text-indent. I’ve been searching the codex and troubleshooting for hours and I’m about to give up so please help me out with this!

    2. I’d also like the categories headline to appear in a div just like the archive headline.

    3. And I’d like the searchform centered.

    Help with any of these problems would be very apprechiated.
