• I’m making a wordpress blog to host some weekly articles. There are two different articles, so I’ve created two categories. Now I would like to create an archive page that would list the articles (title and excerpt) from newest to oldest, but instead of having all of them listed I want just the ones from the category that is selected. Also, I would like to list 10 at a time and then have “Next Entries” and “Previous Entries” at the bottom of the page.

I’ve looked in the Codex and created an archive page, but I can’t seem to get the previous and next links to work. I want them to point only to the entries in the category that is being viewed.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. ??

Yeah, that’s what I mean. How can I create something like that?

All I’ve done so far is an archive index, but it’s not working right. The previous and next links aren’t showing up.

I’m wanting to create a separate archive page that looks different from the rest of my site. One page for category A and another category B.

    Thanks for the reply.

If you click on a Category link in your sidebar (in case you have such a thing) doesn’t it give exactly what you need? = archive list of the posts in that category.

I guess I better explain my situation further…

I’ve created a website with an iframe. I have two links on this website, one that brings up article A in the iframe and one that brings up article B. I was tired of creating the article pages myself and decided to use WordPress to keep all of my articles together, but I wanted the article page to look the same when it was viewed in the iframe. So I made it to where when the iframe showed the default category archive page it would only show the most recent article in that category. That’s good, but I still want the category archive page.

Is there another way of telling WordPress to show the one most recent post in a certain category? If so, that may fix my problem. I need a link from the main website to the most recent post in the category, and then at the bottom of the post (in the iframe) I need a link to the archive page.

I guess the question now is, how do I show the recent post from category A and category B?
