I nearly have the Spotless photo blog theme working, but when I click on the Archive tab, I get a “page not there” message. The site is https://www.coppercoastworkshops.com/wordpress/. I noticed that…

    1. In the dashboard under Appearance -> Themes it says that the Stylesheet is missing. I’ve checked on the forum and path appears to be correct ie website\wordpress\wp-content\themes\spotless\style.css

    3. I mentioned in yesterday’s post that in the “how to post” section, the Spotless author says “Create a page called “Archive” using “Archives” as the default template. This will show all the thumbnails and both monthly and categories archive.” But when I downloaded the theme, there were two files already included, one called archive.php and the other called archives.php….esmi replied in the post to leave them alone which is what I did. But is the problem there?

I think I’m almost there now and it would be great if someone could help me with this final hurdle

    Thank you,….seoirse

I don’t understand this. There is a stylesheet there and it seems to be OK.

Create a page called “Archive” using “Archives” as the default template

This doesn’t mean ‘create another .php file’. It means login to your WP admin section, go to Pages->Add New and create a new page titled ‘Archive’ selecting the ‘Archives’ template from the drop-down on the right under ‘Template’

    Hey apljdi

I can’t figure out the stylesheet thing either, but it has to be said that putting together the blog has been a steep learning curve for me.

Hence my error with the second bit, but I think that you got it…at least my archive page has appeared and the thumbnail is visible.

This has gotta be one of the best forums I’ve used, thank you so much for your help…
