Archive pages no longer work

When month is selected in Archive widget, it just returns you to the home page (Latest Posts). Sitemap archives return you to home page too: /year/month/ is stripped from the url. It was working with WP 3.9, but broke when I updated to WP 4.x. I can’t remember when the WP seo update was made, but I updated it when notified it was available.
