archive view removes image rows in gallery display

    hi everybody
    I have an archive tab in my twenty ten wordpress site and when I display the archive listing the gallery images, which were loaded with the specification to display with 3 thumbnails in a row, display with 1 thumbnail, making the listing ungainly and long, long.

    When I display the same gallery as a blog entry, the image thumbnails display in proper rows.

    How can I get the archive view to display the images in rows?
