Archived Mailchimp User Not Being Unarchived / Re-Subscribed
-
I use Easy Forms for Mailchimp to allow clients to sign up for my Free Workout Programs. I recently came into an issue with 2 past clients not being able to Subscribe.
In the past, they Unsubscribed themselves from my Mailchimp email newsletter. They were then placed in my Mailchimp Archived contacts list.
Within this past week, they both decided they wanted to sign up / opt-into one of my Free Workout Programs again using the Easy Forms for Mailchimp form on my website, but they couldn’t sign up because they were in my Mailchimp newsletter Archived Contact List and the EFFM form didn’t Unarchive them automatically to Subscribe them again. They got this error message within the form when trying to opt-in with the Easy Forms for Mailchimp form:
“[email address] is in a compliance state due to unsubscribe, bounce, or compliance review and cannot be subscribed.”
To my knowledge, if using a hosted Mailchimp account subscribe form (not the EFFM form), that hosted form will Unarchive the Archived contact automatically if they choose to re-Subscribe themselves again.
With the Easy Forms for Mailchimp plugin, it is not Unarchiving my contact automatically allowing them to re-Subscribe and join my workout programs.
I’d really like to continue using the Easy Forms for Mailchimp plugin. Can this issue be fixed within the plugin? It is cumbersome to have to manually go into my Mailchimp contacts dashboard to Unarchive a contact so they can Subscribe/join my workout programs. And if a client never tells me of them experiencing this issue, I lose out on that client(s).
Thank you so much for your help!
