Archives & Frontpage

  • What I am looking to setup is after the number of articles I have set for frontpage display is reached the balance go into archives for the previous month. I am new at this so I hope I can explain as is now if I set for 4 articles and I have 6 or 7 the articles posted in previous month can be found in the archives under previous month but also show on next page linked from the frontpage. How do I set it so they are only in the archives after the month unless needed to reach the number set to be displayed.

  • You can’t. That’s how it works. You can delete the next/prev link from your index.php if you don’t want to use it.

    And just for clarification: in the moment you published a post – it is “archived” in your database! How and where do you display it… it’s a matter of theme design.

    Can I replace the next/prev link with the list of the archives at the same location?
