Archives No Longer Working

    This may be a theme problem. But somewhere along the line, archives stopped working on the site in question. Here’s where I think something went wrong:

    1. custom taxonomy might have been create with a slug that was in use by categories
    2. this was noticed, and the custom slug was removed from the permalink settings page for categories
    3. Somewhere after this, I noticed that monthly, tag and category archives no longer work – the main index page query is returned instead, no filtering

    I’ve been trying to figure this out for hours, but can’t seem to . Has anyone come across this?
