Archives wont go beyond first page

  • You click older entries, it reloads and your still on the first page…

    Tried loads of things, any immediate guesses as to why this is happening?

  • Your template file uses a custom query that needs amending.

    I can’t seem to find it? Do you mean a custom loop or whaat?

    No – a custom query. Looks something like <?php query_posts($args);?>

    Thank you for your response, I have quite a few in the sidebars but they all seem correct. Is this the only possible reason?

    If there are multiple Loops being used on the same web page (eg 1 in the main template file and another in the sidebar), it is possible that the secondary (sidebar) Loop could be interfering with the main Loop.

    thanks again. I disabled the sidebar and the problem remains, so it can’t be that, any other ideas?

    Try:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to confirm whether this is a theme-specific problem.
