    I am getting this error message that archiving has not been done lately, and in this message I get this URL that goes to a guide about how to start archiving

    https://matomo.org/faq/on-premise/how-to-set-up-auto-archiving-of-your-reports/

    The problem is that this guide says that I dont need to do this if I am using Matomo for WordPress. So what is the problem?

    When I use Matomo, Diagnostics, Troubleshooting, Archive reports I get this error message:

    Matomo Archive Warnings: ‘Got invalid response from API request: ?module=API&method=CoreAdminHome.archiveReports&idSite=1&period=day&date=2023-05-08&format=json&trigger=archivephp. Response was \’

    I can add to this the following.

    1. I tried to deactivate and uninstall the Matomo-plugin, and installing it again. The plugin worked OK for about 24 hours, but then I got the error message again.
    2. The Matomo-plugin is installed in another domain that I run. Here the plugin has run fine for several months. No errors at all.

    Hello @aegirr This may be a work around if the system report says?Supports Async Archiving?=>?Yes?in the?Matomo?category. Then it may be possible that disabling this feature helps. You can do this by editing you?wp-config.php?and adding the following line:

    define( 'MATOMO_SUPPORT_ASYNC_ARCHIVING', false );

    Very little traffic here. No reply for over 24 hours. I take it as a signal to search for an alternative to Matomo.

    @aegirr did you somehow miss @emermatomo’s reply from yesterday, right above yours here?
