• I have serached for days on this and have yet to find the answer, I hope you will bear with a newbie here.

I am running WordPress 2.0.3 and using a SemiLogic Digital Moon Template. In the WordPress Features, it says that I can Archive by year, month, week, etc.

I can find how to limit the number of posts, but how do I change archive organization from Months to Weeks or days?

  • Just to clarify.
“Archiving” is done in the moment you save the post. Everything is “archived” in the database. No, you do NOT archive posts by month, day or week or year.

You can decide to display your archives in different formats: monthly, daily etc.

Thanks for the clarification. I understand the concept, explaining it was another matter.

More specifically, there is no switch in wordpress itself for determining archive display options? I will have to delve into the PHP right?

I am an extreme novice at PHP.

    Misconception (php).

I am sorry if Iseem to be missing the obvious, there will probably be a lightbulb moment soon. I appreciate your patience.

OK I read the entire page and several of the related links. I have scanned te code for the obvious files in the wp folder. I can not find where the semilogic template is calling for the archive.

I am using a sidear widget to display the archive, but there has to be a call for it somewhere.
