    Hello,
I just installed. When trying to add a Paypal button, I get an error 10002
Do I “HAVE TO” enter a company name and API credentials in Settings? From what I read, it sounds like it’s not mandatory…

    Thanks for your attention,
    Fran

  • Hi,
Yes, without added those details the button won’t work as they are linked to your PayPal account. Here is basic setup guide for your further assistance. Thanks

    Thanks for quick reply ??

Sorry I didn’t read the guide more carefully (I was testing several Paypal plugins, so I was doing it a little too fast).

However, I followed your guide and I can’t make it to work:
    – I did create a Sandbox account and got credentials for it.
    – Then in WP Settings/Paypal WP Button Manager/General, I checked “Debug log”.
    – Then in WP Settings/Paypal WP Button Manager/Companies, I filled the fields according to my Sandbox credentials (In the line “Paypal Mode”, I didn’t forget to check “Sandbox”)

After clicking “Add company”, I got this error message:
    “error:14077410:SSL routines:SSL23_GET_SERVER_HELLO:sslv3 alert handshake failure”

Note: for gettings my credentials, I tried both ways: 1) directly in my Sandbox account, then 2) from WP/Settings/Paypal WP Button Manager/Companies (there I clicked the link “Get Sandbox API credentials”)
I still get the same error message.

    Can you help?

Please take a look at following article SSL error, It’s an SSL vulnerability which needs to be addressed by your host. Please ontact your web hosting provider and let them know you are getting SSL errors when making HTTP requests because the services you are using require TLS 1.2 due to the POODLE vulnerability. That should be enough for them to know what’s going on and they can get it fixed for you.
