• Hi,

    When a customer changed billing information, are changes to card details pushed through to the gateway/service provider? A customer of mine changed his card details on my website, of which I was informed by WordPress email, did not promulgate through to stripe. Payment failed as a result.

    Must this be updated manually on stripe site?

    Yes, changes to card details should update automatically via the gateway. You should not need to manually update the info.

    Thanks for the reply pmpromcreel. Is this the case if the active gateway has changed, in this case to PayPalExpress. I have changed my gateway from stripe to paypalexpress? I still have some stripe subscribers in the database, and it is one of these members who updated his card details which did not flow through to Stripe.

    That sounds like a configuration issue. Are any of your other legacy Stripe members experiencing this problem?

    Nothing has changed in the Stripe configuration settings after we swopped to PayPalExpress. If customers were successfully signing up and we were receiving their subscriptions, what extra configurations are necessary besides the key settings used to signup. Surely the same gateway settings would be used to request an update to the customers billing info? I think the problem is with PMPRO.

    I’ve confirmed that there is an issue on updating Stripe when the “active” gateway is changed to something else. PMPro should be able to use the saved Stripe settings and recognize the gateway from the users’ membership/orders.

    We’ll have a fix for this out ASAP.

    Hi Jason,

    How will I know that you have a fix available. Also, should I get the customer to cancel their membership and sign up again to make the new card details current?
