    Hi,

I’m planning to rebuild a site on shared hosting which currently is setup with a Dedicated IP. The IP is coming up for renewal, and I’m not sure it’s really needed. Here’s my current plan:

Wipe/Reset the host to start from scratch.
Install WP w/ WooCommerce + Storefront.
    Setup PayPal for payments.

The site is an eCommerce for a small-business in the startup phase. I’m thinking about trying Let’s Encrypt for the SSL. Just looking to minimize costs if I can at this point, any advice given would be appreciated.

    Thanks for reading.

And which part of this is about WordPress?

Why don’t you kindly explain to me what part of this isn’t? Obviously you’re seeing something I’m not, maybe you could point me in the right direction?

These forums are for the support of WordPress. Yes, it sounds like your site is running WordPress, but your question has nothing to do with it. We can’t really help with that sort of thing.

Let me rephrase, your question isn’t about WordPress, it’s a general hosting question.

Think of it this way, does ANY site need a dedicated IP?

WordPress doesn’t care, so it’s all about what you do with it.

Google “Do I need a dedicated IP?” and you’ll be able to sort it out ??
