    Hello!

I’ve spent a lot of time refining my asset optimisation in Hummingbird and everything seems to be working fine. However, when using the Inspecter on Google Chrome it says that I have 9 Javascript errors on the homepage (as well as many other pages of course). Despite the website working completely fine, should I be concerned? Do errors slow down the page load-speeds? These 9 scripts in particular that I speak of are all deferred scripts.

    Thanks,
    – D

  • Hi @dazzerr,

I recommend you resolve the errors, because that can cause certain parts of your website to not function as expected.

    Best regards,
    Anton

Thanks for your swift reply Anton! I’ve tried a few different combinations and they don’t seem to clear up the errors list too much. They all seem to be “Uncaught TypeErrors”, whatever that means. I’ll have to do a little more research into the errors, but I assume it might not be much of a problem.

    Thanks Anton,

    Hello @dazzerr

    Hope you’re doing well!

To resolve the JS error in the developer console, please create a staging site and run a test for a conflict with a plugin.

Deactivate all the plugins and see if the JS errors are there. You can just change your theme to see if the errors still there. Start activating one plugin at a time while checking the console for more errors. Once the errors will start showing up, the last plugin may be conflicting with another.

    Hope this helps!

    Cheers,
    Nastia
