Are subscriptions attached to the PayPal email or the site?

My situation:
I’m running a site handled by s2Member, selling memberships via subscriptions. Of course, a PayPal email address is needed. Say it’s [email protected] for example.
If I transfer [email protected] to someone else’s PayPal account, would the subscriptions come with it and smoothly renew membership when needed? Or, would the subscription renewals get interrupted?
