• Our stats for today are showing a HUGE increase in listeners – which I don’t believe is actually the case.

The pie chart is showing that all of these listeners are Audio Player, Direct Download, or Played in a New Window – and the numbers for each of these are identical for DD and PNW, and the AP count is almost identical.

We have the series broken down into ‘sub series’ – so the episode is in a main series and then in a sub as well – and EVERY single sub series and the main are showing this behavior exactly the same way.

I just did updates to a bunch of plugins a few minutes ago and I think I SS were in the list, but I hadn’t checked the stats prior to doing the updates so I don’t know if this happened on the update or if it was already exhibiting this behavior prior.

I should also mention that I’ve checked our bandwidth numbers for today, and they don’t support a big increase in direct download listens either.

    Hi Kim,

Without more information about what else has been happening with your site (plugin updates as you mentioned, and different types of traffic) it’s impossible to tell for sure. we do update the crawler library that helps weed out any artificial traffic from your numbers, and a new update with the latest library version is going out here either today or tomorrow. We try to update this crawler detect library after the new version of it has been out and stable for a bit.

Once this new version is live on your site please let us know if you’re still seeing this kind of behavior.
