''are you sure you want to do this'' problem for adding a new site and upgrading

  • Hi,

    has been a few days I am having a very nasty problem (for me).
    Every time I try to make a new blog/site or upgrade a plugin instead of performing the action goes to
    ”are you sure you want to do it?” and basically nothing happen because I am back to the same point.

    I have already tried to remove/disable plugins, checks wildcards, tried to move from one.site.com to site.com/one nothing works.

    I want to add everything was working fine untill a certain point…which I am not even sure when was it because for a couple of weeks I didnt touch the admin part except for accept comments and posts.

    Any suggestions?

    Did you try switching your theme on the MAIN site to one of the WP defaults?

    Did it, no luck!
    No conflicts with the theme, also considering I had it before and everything was working.

    Just because everything you had ‘was’ working, doesn’t mean that it will continue to work after ‘a change.’

    So. What changed in the last couple of weeks?

    listen thanks for your ‘effort’ but here I always seem to get ‘philosopical answers’ and I need someone with an understanding of coding at the least that matches mine, which I dont seem to find around here.

    I try not to post here ‘cos of that, but then a problem simply happens and, probably out of frusration, I try also this way (again)…just to had more frustration thanks to your answers.

    At the end of the day I know I will resolve the problem by myself, as I did dozen of times before.

    Based on the information you’re providing, philosophical is what we CAN answer.

    If you really, truly, are 100% “I would bet my car on this” positive that absolutely nothing changed in so far as WordPress goes (and by this we mean everything from plugin/theme/core update to ‘adding/deleting new users’ and ‘changing themes’), then the issue is likely to be in your server. Did anything THERE change? PHP upgrades etc?

    Nothing?

    Go back and look at the URL you’re getting with “are you sure you want to do this”

    Does it look ‘right’? Does it have spaces oe %20’s in it?
