ARGH! clearing gallery of images

  • hi all.
    i have asked this a couple of times before so advanced apologies if i have missed an answer.
    does anyone know how to clear the GALLERY of images so that when i go to create a new set of images in a gallery i don’t have this dialog cluttered up with a lot of images that i may have decided not to upload or which were in a previous gallery?
    in the past i have gone ahead and deleted these one by one in a three or four step process for each image but i see that i have 248 images in this tab and i want to create a new gallery with new images.
    i really don’t have the time to do 248 x 3 (or 4) individual operations to clear this.
    is there a way to do this in the Media section of the UI?
    what am i missing?

    hmmmm. i guess the best way to do this is to open a new tab, create a new post, copy the text from the old post, copy the title from the old post, delete the old post and add the images into the new post…
