Arrows never end turning after sending

    Hello there,

    I have the often discussed problem in one of my sites. With version 4.9.1 the arrows are turning and turning on sumbission, mails are sent correctly but for the user it seems as if the sending is not working. The problem was disucced a lot e.g. here https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/contact-form-7-version-4-8-sending-does-not-work/page/3/ but I couldn’t find a solution for me. So, maybe anyone can help.

    I tried the plugin Disable REST API but it did not work for me, so I deleted it again. After that, I tried the rollback to version 4.7 and sending worked perfectly, but in my browser, there was the output of the SMTP sending displayed and I had an URL followed by an unfamiliar code like #wpcf7-f123-o1. I know, that means my AJAX is not working correctly. But I don’t know, how to fix it. Can anyone help? May it be caused by my test with plugin Disable REST API?
