  • I would really like this feature. The ability to have ‘next’ and ‘previous’ in the lightbox to look through the album images would be great!

    This option exists.

If you enable the lightbox for photo’s you will be able to view the images in the biggest size allowed by the viewport and when you hover the left and right side of the image, you will see an arrow.

The point with Miranda’s problem is that there should be an javascript file included to make the lightbox work, but it isn’t. Please make shure that on the page Settings > Easy Photo Album the option Link image to (or Link afbeelding naar in dutch) is set to lightbox.

Could you please have a look at …

I can’t see the arrows or navigate through the gallery.

    Any help appreciated!

@danielnichols In your case there is another lightbox, namely Swipebox, used by the plugin Responsive Lightbox, that takes over the control of the standard lightbox of EPA.

    So deactivate Responsive Lightbox.

    Hiya,

I have now deleted the Responsive Lightbox plugin. This now means that the arrows and navigation works. Thanks.

However – on the lightbox appears really narrow and then ‘grows’ a bit each time you advance to the next picture. Is there any way this can be correct to see the whole image, in correct proportions, straight away?

Could this be fixed by CSS?

    Thanks! dan.

The width problem of the lightbox is just partly a css problem. It should actually be solved in the Development version of EPA. So please download and install that version.

I can see that when I click the link I can download a zip file. How do I re-install an updated plugin with a zip file please? How will this plugin be affected when you upgrade the real version?

    Thanks!

To use the development version: deactivate your current version, and:

If you have FTP access: open your ftp client and login to your website, browse to wp-content/plugins/easy-photo-album and replace the contents of that folder with the contents of the folder easy-photo-album in the .zip file. Activate the plugin.

If you don’t have FTP access: remove your current version (Note: all your EPA settings will be lost) and go to Plugins > new plugin and upload the .zip file.

When I release a new version, WordPress will show it as a normal update and it will overwrite the development version.
