Article archive

Hi

I am planning of setting up an article site. The client for whom I am doing this have alot of articles in different formats. I would like to create an archive for all the articles and make it searchable for all the content and also author title date ranges etc etc.

Does anyone know of any software that can do this. The rest of the site will be built in WP so if anything can be integrated with wordpress that would be great.

All ideas will be appreciated
