Ya Google ads are not so pretty but I do need to monetize the site..

I always get put off by adverts, especially Google adverts which in a way look very much like the formatting of the posts on your main page and for a casual browser, is very off putting. Considering all the incredible offers from web providers at the moment, it makes you wonder why people need ads.

For example, I am with awardspace and they had a Feb 14th valentines offer where you could get 6 months on their premium service (unlimited webspace, bandwidth etc etc) for just ten pence (or ten cents) with no contract and no obligation to continue with the package after six months.

This is quickly becoming a post about ads.. The hosting deal is great.. But if someone is reading an article about Unlaimed Property or the other hundred topics we have articles on I highly doubt they want to see a hosting deal. As website developers I think we forget that the average browsers do click on these ads.

I would like to get more input on the site itself, not just the ads. Please review usability, functionality, and anything else you can think of.

I am happy to take opinions on ad placement, color, and any other tips that may increase CTR.

Goog Article Directory website. How did you do category? I like it

I used the WP-dTree plugin to get the categories as they are in the side bar.. As for the category template is looks like this..

one thing you are doing wrongthat users can see which version of wordpress you are using.It makes easy for hackers to hack your site.There is Secure WordPress.use it

Great job. Congratulations…One thing you might consider adding is a call to action statement explaining the benefits of submitting to your site vs any other site. Or an author’s tool box, or FAQ etc

I like your site design. In your publisher tos though, you limit the use of articles to 25 per year–doesnt ezines allow 100? I have seen a similar site that has unlimited downloads. If i want to author, i might as well use ezines…..no?
