In my list of WooCommerce tags I can see the description I previously entered, but when I go to the edit screen, I just see a blank area where the text should be. Tried multiple browsers, same result. Any suggestions on how I can fix this?

Can you please show us a screenshot in which you highlight the issue you’re experiencing?

In this screen, you can see I can’t edit the description. As soon as I disable Yoast, I can edit text again. https://www.stateduds.com/wp-content/uploads/Capture.png

We were unable to reproduce this behavior in our test environment with only WooCommerce and Yoast SEO. This typically means there is another active plugin or theme feature that is require to reproduce the issue.

The fastest way to rule out conflicts is to deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme like Twenty Seventeen. If this resolves the issue, you have a conflict and should activate one plugin at a time until you locate the conflict. Finally, after all plugins are active, switch to your theme. This will narrow down the conflict to a specific plugin or theme.

If you are unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we wrote a small guide that will walk you through the steps. You can find it here: How To Check For Plugin Conflicts

This is definitely related to Yoast + Jetpack. I can have one or the other enabled without issue, but enabling both prevents me from editing tags. Can you duplicate this?

and switching to 2017 Theme did not help.

update: I was able to reproduce this on another site that already had jetpack installed. I simply installed & activated Yoast and was then unable to edit tags. All plugins up to date.

Based on the information you provided, we expect this to be a bug. We’re actively using the bug tracking on our GitHub repository so your best next step would be to create a new issue for our developers here. You will need an account to create a new issue. Don’t forget to include the URL to this conversation in your bug report.

As the issue is a conflict with another plugin, we highly recommend reporting the issue to the development or support team of the other plugin. Having both teams work on the issue is a benefit to you.

If you have not submitted an issue previously, this guide will help you submit a complete report which may result in a faster resolution.

Just heard back form JetPack. This is related to their new editor and will be fixed in the next release. If you want to revert to the old editor you can install the plugin and it will make the change for you. I tested and it works. https://github.com/georgestephanis/disable-grunion-editor-view/archive/master.zip
