    Hi,

I am having an issue with Woocommerce’s product sorting by price (ascending). It seems that the first few products in the catalog are still some popular products from my website and not the cheapest ones as they should be.

You can test by going to

    • and in the sort box choose “Sorteaza dupa pret: De la mic la mare” meaning Sort by price ascending.

Do you know what may cause this?

      What I have tried:

      – disabling all plugins
      – Woocommerce > Status > Tools > Product lookup tables regenerate

EDIT: I noticed that one time, when I updated the info of almost all my products in the backend, then the order of the products in the catalog seemed to be correct. Then, after people started purchasing some products, those started to appear in the first places again.

  • Hi @popos93

Have you checked with your host if they are having any server-side caching in place, and ask them to disable it?

    (@popos93)

Yes, I did check with them. The only server side cache is managed by Litespeed Cache and I cleared that.

    Hi @popos93!

Instead of clearing that up, can you try to disable (or ask them to disable it for you) the Litespeed Cache?

    Thread Starter popos93

    (@popos93)

I spoke to them and they disabled it. The issue is still there. Does not seem to be related to cache honestly.

    @popos93

Can you change the site language to English for checks?

Hi, the site is live, I can’t really change it to English. You could use the Chrome translate to English feature though.

    Hi @popos93,

You can clone your site to a staging environment and perform tests without modifying your live site or impacting customers.

Many hosts provide staging facilities, so it’s worth checking in with them. It’s also possible to do it using the free WP Staging plugin: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-staging/.

Let us know how it goes.

I don’t understand why I should create a staging site just for you to be able to read in English? It is very easy to use the Chrome functionality that translates the website for you.

If you don’t have a solution to the issue, just say it and I will try to find help somewhere else but don’t make me waste my time here by asking me to do stuff just for the sake of it.

    Hi @popos93!

Just to clarify it a bit, the staging plugin isn’t a language thing! It’s used to clone your site (and database) into a subfolder or a subdomain, so you can play around without affecting your live/prod site.

Using a plugin like that, you can deactivate all your plugins except for Woo and then install the Storefront theme, which is the basic setup to double-check if everything is working as expected.

Let us know how it goes!

    Hi,

Your colleague asked me to change the site language to English and when I said I can’t because the site is live, your other colleague said that I should then set up a staging site.

Regarding your request to deactivate all plugins and install the Frontstore theme, well, if you bothered to read the whole thread before replying, you would know that this is the 3rd time you and your colleagues ask me to do that. So for the third time I am telling you that I already tried that and it does not fix the issue.

You can go ahead and close this thread as it is clear to me that you guys are just passing me around from one to the other and you don’t even bother reading the previous posts in this thread before replying.

    Hey @popos93!

Can you please contact us at WooCommerce.com > My Account > Support.

You may need to create an account before you can access that page, and also have set the staging plugin, so we can jump in to take a closer look.

Please include a link to this forum thread, so that we can keep track of what’s already been done. We will be able to help you further there.

I hope to hear from you soon! Thanks again!
