    Hi,

    I use a Self-hosted WordPress site.
I am having problems with the Project page/Portfolio.

I use Gutenberg Version 4.1.1, for the moment. I keep updating each new Gutenberg version that arrives.

I have created a new Portfolio “project page”.
Project Layout, because all radio buttons are empty, I tried “Default”. Result nothing.
So I tried with Default again as well as having NONE of the above selected. – Result nothing.
I kept “project Options” to “Image”.
I kept “Columns” to “Three columns”.

In Portfolio Image Gallery”, I picked all from 1-6 jpeg images from the WordPress media library (The Standard palce for all images)

I also tried puttng a Youtube link in the Embed video. I used both a link from the browser. result nothing. And I alos selected and pasted a Youtube Embedd video link – Result nothing.

I have tried this several times, with various changes. No result.

The ONLY result I can see, is the Featured image, and text I wrote for the project in question.

    Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance!

Ps. Website it concerns is my own. And in my profile yu can see the website link. Look for “Case” in the Menu

    Hey,
Jetpack also has a portfolio option you can enable. Can you make sure that is not enabled and causing a conflict?

    Hi again, Ben,

I just checked Jetpack, and it was disabled. No portfolio setting enabled, it was Disabled (Greyed out) under “Media” in Jetpack.

    Hi Ben @britner,

Thanks for the support, appreciate it.
I hope I supply you with the correct screenshots. Please click on my profile image. My profile website link is temporary changed into a link with images, links etcetera (a page I created that is “public” with the screenshots). I will remove them when you have looked at them.

    Hey sorry for the delay.

I want to make sure I understand correctly. When you select to add images to the product gallery and then click save. once you reload the page those images didn’t save? Is that correct?

    Hi Ben,

    No worries.
    Yes, thats how it is.

I clicked the blue button Add/Edit. select images from the Media library. Click ok .

I also added a video link. None of the two stay.

    All steps I take, are:

    Project Layout – select Default.
Project Options – Select Default, first, and then tried with “Image Grid”.
    Columns – Three Columns
POrtfolio Image Gallery – Click and add images

    Bottom Portfolio Carousel – Default

And for the Video embed, I tried using both the browser link to youtube, as well as adding an embedded ifram link Youtube created.

    Nothings sticks.

ok, do you happen to have this plugin installed: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/so-widgets-bundle/

There is an issue in that where the post carousel widget breaks the meta box save in Gutenberg.

or better can you send me a list of plugins you do have.

    Yay!
In one way it worked, and in another way it still doesnt work. It worked when deactivated Site origin widgets bundle, when using the Project options selecting “Above”. That solved another issue Kevin have helped me with. Which will make me move my image galleries over to Portfolio/project pages instead, and setting “above”. (That way I can set a Sidebar 2, Custom sidebar on all regular pages with text and images, to get a nicer alignment looking.

    Like this one

    https://canvas.nu/portfolio/_test

But it still doesnt work to add Block (Gutenberg) image galleries, nor Adding images via Project Options.

Picss doesnt show up under all various settings, but the one that does, squeezed the images unfortunatley.

    Fantastic!

Hey so you still can’t save images into the product gallery meta area?

Your link above shows the gutenberg gallery block added. But you are saying it doesn’t work?

    Thread Starter theillustrator

    (@theillustrator)

It doesnt work adding Gutenberg block into a Project Portfolio page, like this one https://canvas.nu/portfolio/sjohistoriska-museet-utstallningen-vem-ar-pirat

Meaning, I tried using projct options and settings around that, like adding images via Add/Edit, that blue button. And Project Options Image Collage – (Use 2-5 images).
I have a featured image attached, but that isnt visable, overriden by the Project Options settings. Pics that you can see is squeezed

But, it did work with a Project Portfolio page, with Gutenberg, and adding a Gutenberg image gallery block.
