• Often, when I’m editing a page in WordPress and I use an ASCII alt-code (example: alt-130 for e acute) I get a “Confirm Navigation” dialog box that asks whether I want to leave the page or not. I can usually click Cancel and go back to my edits. Other times it leaves the page and I lose the edits. The only workaround I’ve found so far, is to copy and paste the special characters into Notepad and then copy them into the edit window.

    Has anyone else experienced this?

    Thanks

P.S. I am using WordPress 4.2.3 with Chrome 43.0.x running on Windows 7 Professional Version 6.1.
